Covid 19 diary – week 12
Uncertain times as lock-down is eased and people say they are ‘bored with Covid’ – let’s hope their boredom gives them a ring of protection. Meanwhile my isolation bubble has been quite lovely this week!
Covid 19 diary – week 11
Another mixed week and we are loving having the foxes in the garden – I think they’ve replaced the grandchildren who can’t come to play because of lock-down!
Block hand-printed sweet-pea design on washed linen
I love these colours together! This material is ready to be cut up and sewn into a bag.
Covid 19 diary – week 10
This week’s Covid 19 diary is more fun than glum – it’s all beginning to seem quite normal?!
Block hand-printed shoulder bag and purse
Shoulder bag and purse made from linen that I have block hand-printed.
Glimpses of Worcestershire – Hanbury Church
From the ‘Glimpses of Worcestershire’ series, this is a pastel of Hanbury Church. I’ve always loved the way it sits on the hillside, almost hidden by trees and only visible now and again from the road. It’s a view I’ve meant to paint/print for a long time – and now I have!
Covid 19 diary – week 9
Covid 19 diary – week 9
A bit of mirth and a bit of glumness as this diary trundles on – never short of material each week!
Covid 19 diary – week 5
This week’s diary is a bit mirthless, I’m afraid. On Friday, in particular, it struck me what a safe, pretty little bubble I was staying in and it felt banal compared to all that lay outside of it. It didn’t seem the week to quip about Zoom Pilates etc. I’ll find more of the bright side next week. Stay safe and until next week…
Covid 19 diary – week 4
I can’t believe it is only week 4 of my diary; so much changes. I’ve tried to capture the new highs and unimaginable lows of this time in all our lives. Stay safe and until next week…
Dappled light – lino-cut print
This lino-cut image is from a photograph given to me by my daughter 20 years ago, taken on a walk through a tree lined lane. I always love that type of dappled light, so I’ve had a go at replicating it in a lino-cut – a bit of a surreal challenge actually!
